John M. Montgomery II is an underwater photographer, videographer, and travel content creator based in New Jersey. Since 2008, John has traveled internationally multiple times a year, visiting over 50 countries — nearly half of them more than once — and building a reputation as a trustworthy resource on destinations, travel gear, and lodging. 

In recent years, that love of travel has found its deepest expression underwater. John is a PADI Master Scuba Diver (certified January 2025) with over 100 dives across 15 countries. His goal: to dive in every country, with a particular focus on lesser-known dive destinations — especially across Africa and South America — that rarely get the spotlight in dive media.
